The Injectable Lift
Several years ago, aesthetic physicians here
and in other countries recognized the volumetric capability
of dermal fillers along with the dynamic wrinkle relaxation
of Botox.
Combining the two injectables strategically, it
was found that by restoring volume in specific areas,
patients could opt for a quick, almost painless way to look
younger instantly - without the downtime and risks of
surgery.
Our faces lose volume with age. No one escapes
the gradual loss of facial fat, bone and underlying muscle,
so eventually we all suffer skin laxity, hollowness and
"oldness".

The Layering Technique
Longer term, denser dermal
fillers are used as a base with the lighter fillers being
used for the more mobile areas and the superficial
epidermis. In this case it is easy to use Radiesse for cheek
lift and nose shaping; Juvederm for lip and philtral
restoration, Restylane for under eye hollows and the area
above the brow or a combination of Restylane and Juvederm to
smooth out the surface skin.
With the combined fill and lift
in
these areas, the facial contours regain a more youthful
three dimensional aspect that in some ways emulate a
surgical lift. Botox keeps frowns and vertical lip lines at
bay, completing a very novel and simple way to pick up
drooping skin for a lift effect.
Liquid Lift for Everyone?
No, it's not for everyone. Excessive skin laxity does
require surgery, but for those with the earlier signs of
aging and volume loss, it's certainly something to look
into..
