Fraxel's No Downtime*
erbium fractional laser for:
Large Pores
Rough Texture
Uneven Skin Color and Tone
Melasma
Acne Scarring
Dr. Mani has used the Fraxel
laser with hundreds of patients for taking on the task of
surface skin irregularities in texture, pore size, color and
problems with scarring. The Fraxel II laser is a "kind"
laser in that there is virtually no downtime, no need for
anesthesia beyond a topical gel and very quick response. For
patients who don't have time available to take off for
healing, the Fraxel laser is an ideal choice.
(*Aggressive acne scar treatments may result in a few
days' time of more pronounced redness or swelling)
Fraxel's proven technology
has been very successful. So successful, in fact, that recently the
company joined forces with skin tightening leader Thermage
to develop even more innovative technology.

Skin that is
scarred has tightened disorganized collagen bands that keep
the floor of a scar depressed. By disrupting this banding
with laser, deep scars tend to "relax". Once this happens,
the collagen production that occurs as a result of laser
energy fills in and "lifts" the scar floor. At the same
time, the surface of the skin around the scar is smoothed,
making the entire epidermal area more level.
Multiple
treatments are required to make substantial differences in
scarring.
Fraxel Skin Science
Fractionated laser targets
tiny columns of skin instead of the full skin surface. This
is the reason there is no prolonged recovery or healing
time.
Tech - Fraxel treats
microscopic volumes of skin with each unique pulse, leaving
the surrounding area intact for fast healing. These
microscopic treatment zones (MTZs) penetrate to the precise
height and width necessary, while sparing many of the stem
cells and melanocytes in the papillary dermis, which in turn
promotes quick healing and full function of skin pigment -
often improving and balancing skin color that has been
negatively affected by acne or sun.
Weak chin? Drooping facial features and you
don't want to be on the receiving end of a scalpel? We
hardly blame you. Surgery hurts and so does the recovery -
not to mention the time involved in preparation and healing.
Radiesse is the most unique dermal filler
product on the market. Technically Radiesse is not a filler,
but an injectable implant.
Formulated as a malleable
calcium-based paste, the tiny spheres stay in the skin for
many months - up to two years for some patients - all the
while encouraging collagen production to interweave
providing support and renewed facial elasticity. This further lengthens the time the product keeps
performing.

Choosing a Training Physician
Dr. Mani is a member of the select Medical Education
Faculty for Bioform Medical, makers of Radiesse. As a

proper techniques for injecting Radiesse. Due to the
product's consistency, required placement and
semi-permanence, it is especially important that you select
a well trained physician. As an MEF member, Dr. Mani is
recognized as one of the best in the country.

"When it's your skin, nothing but the safest and most
carefully selected treatments are acceptable.
As a woman who is
experiencing the aging process myself, I'm acutely aware of
the subtle differences that affect my sense of self-esteem
and self-confidence.
It is my goal to help you take
renewed pleasure in your appearance and enjoy ongoing
skin health. "
Ruddy skin tone? Grab some green tinted moisturizer to
balance out the red tones before applying makeup - but go
easy, too much and you'll look like the Grinch!
Thin lips and no time for a filler injection? Try
outlining lips with a light eyeliner pencil...just a single
fine line. Then use your regular lip liner right inside. The
light pencil line catches the light and makes the lips look
more "everted"
Puffy lower eyelids? Use the makeup artist's drop shadow
trick. Place a small amount of transparent taupe eye shadow
on the bulge then lightly blend. A cream shadow is needed to
make this work.
Bigger eyes - Forget the eyeliner that goes on the lower
lid rim. Use a lighter concealer to brighten the inside
corners of the eye next to the nose bridge. You'll "pull"
your eyes forward and they'll look bigger.
Jowls - Use a darker makeup or a darker toned concealer
right beneath the jaw line and blend down and out. This
takes some practice but will give you a sharper jaw contour.
Spots and dots - Grab a Colorescience Camo kit and have fun.
With five skin tones designed to balance out red, brown, dark
blue and yellow, you can carry this instant fix in your purse
wherever you go.
